A true green lung in the heart of the city center, the Beaufays golf academy and its clubhouse cannot be seen at first glance. It is behind the shops of the Voie de l’Air Pur that this haven of peace is revealed, as if isolated from the world.
On the terrace open to the entire route, opt for a table to eat or for sofas if you prefer to have an aperitif comfortably seated.
“It’s a small course with distances of 60 to 100 which allows you to finish it in an hour and at any time of the day, especially since the greens are synthetic for playing in all weathers. », assures Kévin Dejalle, the manager of The Green restaurant. “We want to create a family atmosphere, in the spirit of a sports club, to allow everyone, beginner or not, to discover this sport which could seem elitist. »
Sport and indulgence meet at the clubhouse
Accustomed to the world of catering, Kevin Dejalle had carte blanche to give a soul to The Green. “We invested a lot. We thought of everything ourselves in terms of decoration. We spent 2 and a half months finishing the restaurant for the opening of the golf course. »
The interior room, with warm and natural tones, can accommodate 65 people, as does the large exterior terrace. “People sometimes come just to say hello or have a morning coffee. It’s very lively, everyone gets together. »
Local brasserie and seasonal dishes
Since its opening last November, the restaurateur and his team have been offering flagship brasserie dishes such as traditional boulets, vol-au-vent, American, pasta or a good piece of meat. “Everything is homemade with products that come from local players who are a guarantee of quality. »
Now that the classic menu is sufficiently mastered to become a safe bet, the chefs are working to expand it with seasonal dishes. “We have a great team so we can adapt to almost all requests, including private events since we can divide the room to obtain an isolated space for 20 people. »
The clubhouse is open every day from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. with Monday evening and Tuesday evening as closed days.
