A first Frenchman reached the second round of the US Open this Tuesday, August 27. Adrian Mannarino defeated Borna Coric in three sets in the first round of the last Grand Slam tournament of the calendar year (7-5, 6-2, 6-3).

The first set was tight between the two tennis players. Mannarino forced the decision in the decisive moments, breaking his opponent at 6-5.

Last two simpler sets

The second set was not of the same quality. The Tricolore was broken at the start, but immediately took over his opponent’s serve in order to get back into the game. He then rolled out the second half of the set to take a serious advantage of two sets to nothing.
