Borja Jiménez, the manager of rival UD Las Palmas, praised the qualities of the CD Leganés squad and the recent signings. Among these reinforcements is Munir El Haddadi, who is called up for this Sunday’s clash (18.00 hours) in Butarque.
“I am happy with the players “We already had and those who have come. We have available players (three) and we will do more things in the market. Like every year, the last days of the market in Leganés are fun,” he commented, evaluating the recent signings of Munir and Jackson Porozo as positive.
“We won’t make five more signings. There is still a salary cap, but we will fill those spots if we find players who improve what we already have,” he added. “We will be a competitive team throughout the year.”
Regarding Munir, a former UD Las Palmas player, the Leganés coach said that “he is a very experienced player. He has played for big clubs in his career. I have known him since he was a youth player in Majadahonda. He is a boy who has a lot of goals.who is very eager, hungry and wants to recover his high attacking numbers. He wants to show it here.”
Against Las Palmas, “everyone will be available”, except for the Tenerife centre-back Jorge. “We have had a very good pre-season in terms of avoiding injuries. Everyone is available and all have been called up.”
“Las Palmas was a very dominant team last year.
