“Arrogant, insulting, contemptuous, odious. » This is how the vice-prosecutor described Patrice who engaged in a violent diatribe against women at the Meaux court, in Seine-et-Marne. He was indeed execrable. To his ex-partner, he sent up to 500 insulting text messages per day. And, to his minor daughter, he made salacious and humiliating remarks.
As soon as he enters the detainees’ box with his prison escort, we sense that the hearing will give the magistrates a hard time. Patrice, 52 years old, 1m80, crew-cut gray hair, blue jacket, glares at the judges, in particular at the president Isabelle Florentin-Dombre. Arrested at the end of September, he responded on October 4 to harassment for 18 months against his neighbor, an ex-partner “with degraded living conditions and health”. The psychiatrist granted him seven days of ITT. Harassment, too, towards his 16-year-old daughter: he stalks her, tortures her with obscene insults. The expert expressed his “concern” for the teenager, whose “psychological impact is of significant intensity”.
“A bastard” with a “faggot”
Patrice, a crane operator in a precarious situation since he was separated from his family – he also has a 6-year-old son – is furious at being brought to justice because of “the poof”. This is how he refers to Carine*, “a daughter of a whore” with whom he lived for 15 years. From the opening of the debates, he expressed his resentment thus: “I didn’t want children! When she got pregnant, I insisted she take the kid out. »
Carine did not abort, Léa* was born. His father doesn’t like him.
He has had no contact with the young girl for almost three years. But he comes to the market where she makes pocket money on weekends and calls her names in front of the boss, the customers. In his eyes, she is “a bastard” with a “queer face” who “shows her private parts” and who “becomes a Lolita”. He talks to her about “her pussy” and promises to “fuck her in the ass”. Less crude comments, which give an insight into the father-daughter relationship. Lawyer for the victims, Me Valérie Lefèvre-Krummenacker says that once the case was accepted, she undertook “to highlight the insults. I quickly stopped because I would have highlighted all the sheets of the minutes.
Under reinforced probationary suspension for violence with a weapon, he does not respect the injunction for treatment: “I don’t know where we do this, give me the address. » He has been convicted several times, including for attacking a police officer. His former neighborhood evokes “an angry gentleman with behavioral problems”.

Carine is no more spared, but she is a 38-year-old adult, likely to cope better. “Lazy”, another of his nicknames, he “makes life hell”, specifies his advice. “Her phone never stops vibrating: some days, she received 400 to 500 calls and texts! » Recordings and screenshots have been placed on file. This has been going on since they broke up a year and a half ago. Carine often reported it to the police, who took no action.

Thus we learn, from his response, that he was subject to forced placement in a psychiatric hospital. The motive was necessarily serious. But the expert who examined him in police custody found no pathology or treatment. Me Lefèvre-Krummenacker says “the fear” of her clients, “who only ask for one thing: tranquility. He destroys them. You must protect them.”
Appalled by “the incredible number of facts”, Éric de Valroger considers the defendant “disrespectful here”, “detestable” in general: “If he is not a Taliban, he comes out of the Middle Ages! » Concerned by the danger faced by the victims, he requires two years in prison, including one with probationary suspension of the same duration, continued detention for the firm part, the ban on contacting Carine and Léa, from appearing at their home , care and withdrawal of parental authority.

The court follows the requisitions, except that it only withdraws the exercise of parental authority. Upon hearing of his imprisonment, Patrice explodes: “You’re not appeasing anything!
