Hard to match Love is in the meadow : while this flagship M6 program brings together 3.6 to 4 million viewers every Monday, the channel wanted to relaunch an old and well-known dating show, Le Golden Bachelor – the “senior” version. Its broadcast, scheduled for June, had already been postponed to September 18 due to political news. For two weeks, Landry, a 60-year-old single, widower and father of three children, has been trying to find love among the 20 contenders aged between 55 and 67.
But the audiences are not taking off. This program, which found its audience in the United States, does not seem to follow the same trajectory in France. For its launch, it failed to reach one million viewers, with only 889,000 curious people watching it on television. Last week, September 25, the program attracted only 776,000 followers, according to figures from Médiamétrie.
From love… to scam
M6 has therefore decided to broadcast the last four episodes on the same evening, this Wednesday.
