The Hungaroring circuit continues its renovation, and the second phase of the work is now well advanced. The stands and the paddock are under construction, after the first phase had been used to shave everything.
After the completion of the first phase of the project at the start of last summer, the second phase began a week after the F1 visit to the 2024 race for the 2024 race. Currently, 620 people work daily on the circuit while the work continues.
On the main gallery, 100 % of prefabricated reinforced concrete beams and almost 50 % of the elements of the tribune were installed, while the stairs are being installed. Meanwhile, the backfilling of the earth around the Paddock building has completed the large-scale earthworks.
In addition, the construction of the vertical structure of the third floor of the Paddock building is under way in certain places, and 22 kilometers of protective tubes and 80 kilometers of coating tubes were placed in the area surrounding the track band, y including 20 kilometers of power cables.
During the fall, 12 cranes in turn worked on the Hungaroring. During the semester sold since the Hungarian Grand Prix last year, 23,785 m3 of concrete were built, 7604 tonnes of reinforcement steel were installed and 759 m2 of masonry structure were built.
“Our circuit has undergone an amazing transformation” Zsolt Déclaré Gyulay, PDG du Hungaroring. “The view is totally different every day, with the new main building and the main tribune that come out of the ground at an incredible speed. It is one of the most important and exciting construction projects in Hungary.”
“This is the culmination of the Hungarian construction industry. We will have to organize the 40th Hungarian Grand Prix without the main building being completely finished, and the team will therefore have to find temporary solutions for control of the race race and the media center. “
-The work will not be finished for the GP of Hungary 2025, but this is normal: “After this year's race, we will immediately return the site to the entrepreneur, so that Hungaroring is a multifunctional event center by 2026, meeting all needs and operating 365 days a year.”
“We are impatient to welcome the international peloton. I think we will see a lot of faces surprised when they will realize the changes that the circuit undergoes. And I am convinced that the whole Formula 1 team will be satisfied with what 'She will see. “
