During the vows ceremonywhich was held on Saturday January 11, 2025 at the gymnasium, the mayor of Boissise-le-Roi (Seine-et-Marne), Véronique Chagnat, drew up a review of actions carried out in 2024 and revealed the projects that will mark 2025between concrete achievements et budgetary challenges.

In 2024, security has been at the heart of concerns. After installing video protection devices at the entrances to the municipality, this equipment was extended to priority public buildings, such as the town hall and schools.
In this spirit of strengthening security, the “I light my street” system was launched last September. This system allows residents to occasionally light up their street, if necessary, from a mobile application.
“Turning off the lights between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. can cause discomfort or apprehension. This is why we allow residents to occasionally control the lighting in their street, if necessary,” explains the mayor. The device enabled energy savings, improved respect for the environment, and reduced the inconvenience caused to local residents.

Véronique Chagnat also wanted to clarify a complicated budgetary situation: “State grants, which constitute a significant part of our resources, are in constant decline. This reduction pushes us to redouble our efforts to effectively manage the finances of our municipality,” she said.
-Despite these restrictions, the expansion of the school will be a major priority in 2025. From May, construction of a 48-space parking lot will begin, followed, in the summer, by work to add four new classes. At the same time, the school group will benefit from thermal and acoustic rehabilitation.
The year will also be marked by the modernization of public lighting in the Valbois housing estate, with the replacement of 98 street lamps with energy-saving LED models. Thermal studies for the André Malraux school and the town hall will also be launched to meet the standards of the tertiary decree.
In terms of sports infrastructure, the municipality will explore the feasibility of a synthetic football field which will depend on external funding:
We are also announcing the creation of a pétanque court near the Orgenoy village hall.
The entire municipal council as well as municipal employees were thanked. Honor was also given to two deputies, Rémy Cervo, for his 48 years of service to the municipality, as well as Jacky Seignant, for his 36 years of commitment.
