Racism still affects football in Spain. This Saturday evening during FC Barcelona's trip to Getafe (1-1), it was Alejandro Baldé who was the victim. “I received several racist insults. This should not continue to happen, explained the full-back to the Movistar microphone after the game. It was in the first half and I told the referee, who activated the protocol. I don't know exactly how this protocol works and I have to try to forget what happened.”

Warned, the referee of the match Gonzalez Fuertes did not go further in “the protocol”, put in place since September in Spain and which could have led to an interruption of the game. According to the daily Sport, the referee still reported in his report the racist insults aimed at Baldé.

After the game, Hansi Flick supported his young player. “It's unbelievable, there is no place for that in football or in life. These people should stay at home and we have to fight against this. The people around them should do something because it “is unfair and disrespectful.”, explained the Barca coach, supported by a message from the club on X: “There is no place for racism. We are 100% with you Balde”.
