The Aston Martin F1 team announced this morning a restructuring of its management team.
For greater clarity in direction and as part of a transition to a flatter structure, Andy Cowell takes on the role of CEO and Team Director with immediate effect. He therefore replaces Mike Krack, who is leaving the team.
To deliver the best performance, the team’s Aerodynamics, Engineering and Performance departments have evolved into separate teams, dedicated to trackside and the AMR Technology Campus, both under Andy’s responsibility.
The trackside team will be led by Mike Krack, as track director. Mike – who joined the team in 2022 as team principal – will continue to focus on getting the car’s best performance on the track.
The Silverstone-based team will be led by new team technical director Enrico Cardile, with a team that can now focus 100% on the challenge of creating a new F1 car. Cardile will oversee the architecture, design and construction of the new race cars.
-Tom McCullough will remain with the group in a management role, where he will play a vital role in expanding the team’s wider range of racing categories. McCullough contributed greatly to on-track performance during his 11 years with the team.
Andy Cowell, CEO and Principal of the Aston Martin F1 Team, said: “I have spent the last three months understanding and evaluating our performance, and I have been incredibly impressed by the dedication, commitment and hard work of this team. With the completion of the AMR Technology Campus and our transition in 2026 to a full factory team, alongside our strategic partners Honda and Aramco, we are on our way to becoming a champion team. These organizational changes are a natural evolution of the multi-year plans we have planned and I am incredibly excited about them. has the future.”
