2024 will have been a complicated year for the automobile industry in Europe and even more so in France with a drop in sales of new cars, including electric models that are still too expensive for many French motorists.
However, not everything was bad in 2024 on the auto world. Electrification continued at a breakneck pace in 2024. European manufacturers have consolidated their offer of electric vehicles (EV) with ever more efficient and sometimes accessible models such as the Citroën ë-C3. But the Chinese are there, very present with BYD, MG, Leapmotor, Xpeng… and tomorrow with GAC, Skyworth, Beijing, Hongqi. we'll have to get used to it and we don't really have a choice because the Middle Kingdom is pulling out all the stops to conquer Europe and the world.
We will remember 2024 in the spotlight at the Paris Motor Show last October. A real breath of fresh air for a sector lacking oxygen in this pivotal period of energy transformation that Brussels is imposing forcefully in the face of environmental challenges.
