They played tag but were found by the patrol. For this Formula 1 season, it is the Williams team which has accumulated the most damage on the track. Between the crashes of Alexander Albon, Logan Sargeant, then the rookie Franco Colapinto who replaced him during the season, the English team accumulated 13,839,600 euros in damage.

Just behind, there is Red Bull and its 6,148,400 euros, and the podium is completed by Ferrari, with 4,892,600 euros. As for the team that has best preserved its cars in 2024, it is McLaren, with “only” 2,347,200 euros. The team also won the manufacturer's title. In total, the ten teams in the 2024 field have therefore accumulated around 26 million euros in damage.

Gasly makes history

On the driver side, as our title indicates, the biggest car wrecker was Sergio Perez, partner of Max Verstappen at Red Bull, with alone 4,623,000 euros of crumbled carbon. He is followed very closely by Alex Albon and his 4,444,000 euros, then by George Russell, who cost Mercedes 3,165,000 euros.

The ranking obviously also announces who cost the least this season, and that's where history is written. Indeed, this year, Pierre Gasly did not have the slightest accident, therefore did not cost Alpine a cent, and this is the very first time that this has happened in 74 years of Formula 1 Championship.

However, the French team did not escape without costs, since Esteban Ocon alone accumulated 2,371,000 euros in damage.
