Yoann Richomme (Paprec Arkéa), one of the favorites for victory, shared a video showing his monohull sailing in ideal conditions towards the deep south.
Yoann Richomme (Paprec Arkéa) occupied third place in the Vendée Globe rankings on Saturday morning behind leader Charlie Dalin (Macif) and Thomas Ruyant (Vulnerable). A position which confirms the favorite status of the double winner of the Solitaire du Figaro launched into a sprint towards the southern seas. A sprint in which every minute will count because the leading men still have a slim hope of catching a northwesterly flow to avoid falling into an area devoid of wind behind.
