Wednesday November 27, at 9:05 p.m., 2 launches That’s !a mini-series in six episodes imagined and performed by Dominique Besnehard, producer Ten Percent. Played by Alex Lutz and Charlotte de Turckheim, she resurrects the soul and magic of cabaret confronted with today's society, around a cast worthy of a first-rate revue bringing together, among others, Monica Bellucci, Line Renaud and Bernard Le Coq.

That’s Paris! : What is the series about with Alex Lutz and Charlotte de Turckheim broadcast on France 2 this Wednesday, November 27, 2024?

Welcome to Tout-Paris, famous Parisian cabaret, drowning in rhinestones and feathers, but above all in debt! Heir to this establishment in which he wore out his shorts between dancers and knife throwers, Gaspard Berthille (Alex Lutz) is preparing to sell it to a supermarket brand, but has not yet spoken about it to his staff. When Régis (Dominique Besnehard), the head waiter, asks him who these strangers sitting on the tables are, Berthille informs him that they are members of the mafia who have come to do market research… and asks him to keep it secret. A few moments later, Olympe (Delphine Baril), responsible for costumes, storms furiously into her office brandishing a dress eaten by rats. Obviously, Régis has not held his tongue and everyone is aware of the boss's contacts with the mafia organization. Alone in charge since Babeth (Charlotte de Turckheim), his adopted mother and administrator of the place, retired to her apartments, Gaspard gets bogged down in his lies…

That’s Paris! : Should we watch the series with Alex Lutz and Charlotte de Turckheim broadcast on France 2 this Wednesday, November 27, 2024? Our opinion.

Initiated by Dominique Besnehard, transformed into a deliciously wigged waiter, this six-episode format resurrects the charm of Parisian magazines confronting contemporary issues. Economic constraints, nudity of the dancers, obsolescence of the paintings…, so many themes opposing the world of yesterday to that of today. It is at Paradis Latin that Marc Fitoussi, one of the directors of Ten Percentset up his cameras, while Kamel Ouali (recently returning to the Star Academy) set the choreographies to music composed by Bertrand Burgalat. Over the course of the episodes, empathy with the characters characterized with mischief and humanity increases, creating a real bond on both sides of the screen. In addition to Line Renaud and Monica Bellucci in their own roles, all the actors, Alex Lutz, Charlotte de Turckheim and the incomparable Nicolas Maury in the lead, seize this comedy-nostalgia, to celebrate one of the last sanctuaries of pluralism and of tolerance perpetuated thanks to cabarets.
