The “beginners’ race” will not see the light of day in 2024. The International Automobile Federation (FIA) has postponed its novelty until 2025, at best. Ten rookies were to compete in a sprint format in Abu Dhabi on December 10, at the end of the season. Each team would have been limited to one car.

“Discussions continue”

Frenchman Théo Pourchaire could have had his chance at Stake ; Isack Hadjar was announced on the Red Bull side, under the supervision of Christian Horner.

“Although the concept has received widespread support (especially team directors)it was determined that due to scheduling and organizational constraints, the event would not take place in 2024, and discussions will continue to formulate a concept and potential plan for 2025”communicated the FIA.
