The League has revealed the list of nominees for the prizes awarded during Rugby Night which takes place on Monday.
The National Rugby League unveiled this Wednesday the list of nominees for the various prizes that will be awarded on Monday during the Nuit du Rugby, which takes place at the Olympia and will be broadcast in the clear on Canal + channels from 7:30 p.m. Among the most anticipated prizes, that of best player of the season: we find the scrum-half of Toulouse, Antoine Dupont, the center of Stade Français Paris, Jérémy Ward, and the number 8 of UBB, Tevita Tatafu. On the Pro D2 side, no players from Vannes, however crowned champion of France and promoted to Top 14, but we do find Steeve Blanc-Mappaz (FC Grenoble Rugby), Inga Finau (Provence Rugby) and Samuel Marques (AS Béziers Hérault).
As for the revelation player of the last season, the title will be played between Théo Attisogbé (Section Paloise) and Mathis Castro Fereira (Stade Toulousain) and Paul Costes (Stade Toulousain). The trophy for the best rugby 7s player, on the occasion of the In Extenso Supersevens, will be played between Thibault Debaes (Section Paloise), Xan Mousques (Aviron Bayonnais) and Saimone Queleca.
The three nominees for the title of international player of the year are François Cros (Stade Toulousain), Antoine Dupont (Stade Toulousain) and Peato Mauvaka (Stade Toulousain), a clean sweep for the Red and Black. In the women’s category, Manae Feleu (FC Grenoble Rugby), Romane Ménager (Montpellier Hérault Rugby) and Séraphine Okemba (France 7) are the three nominees.
Pierre Brousset, Ludovic Cayre and Mathieu Raynal are the three men behind the whistle in the running to be elected referee of the year. Now it’s time for the best staffs: Union Bordeaux-Bègles, Perpignan and Stade Toulousain are the representatives of the Top 14; US Dax, FC Grenoble Rugby and RC Vannes are those of Pro D2. Finally, there are five candidates for the title of the best try of the past year: Rémy Baget (Aviron Bayonnais), Ange Capuozzo (Stade Toulousain), Peniasi Dakuwaqa (Stade Français), Nicolas Depoortère (Union Bordeaux-Bègles) and Baptiste Jauneau (ASM Clermont).
