Sjoerd Bax will no longer be a runner in the training UAE Team Emirates in 2025! After two seasons with the latter, the 28-year-old Dutchman has signed up until 2026 with a team playing at ProTeam level: Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team. This career choice clearly reflects the winner’s Matteotti Trophy 2023 to play his personal card much more regularly than he was able to do during the last two exercises. “It’s a really interesting project and it looks like the perfect team to take the next step in my career.”confides the Batavian on the site of Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team.

Sjoerd Bax: “I want to fight for victory again”

“During my two years at UAE Team Emirates I have worked tirelessly to support my teammates, but now instead of riding behind the breakaway I want to be in the breakaway myself or have a shot at the finish. I have won a few races in the past and I want to get that feeling back because it is the best feeling there is. I want to fight for the win again and just have fun on the bike.”continues Sjoerd Baxbefore giving the floor to Douglas Ryderthe general manager of the Swiss ProTeam.

“We are delighted to welcome Sjoerd Bax to our team for the upcoming season! A versatile rider, he excels on all terrains and is capable of achieving top results in both tough classics and stage races. As our first Dutch rider, Sjoerd will bring with him his invaluable WorldTour experience. We are excited about the success we can achieve together over the next two years.”concludes the South African.
