An end to the course that should cause damage. The day after a mid-mountain stage won by Irishman Eddie Dunbar, the riders set off on a hilly course on Thursday, August 29, between the spa town of Orense and the ski resort of Manzaneda. Over the 137.4 km effort, the peloton will follow a hilly route for the first 120 kilometers, before finishing with the ascent of a first category pass, to reach the finish at an altitude of more than 1,500 meters.

After the intermediate sprint, set at the 102nd kilometer, the end of the race should encourage the favorites in the general classification to go on the attack to make up the gap on the red jersey leader, the Australian Ben O’Connor. Incisive, Wednesday at the end of the stage, Primoz Roglic managed to make up 40 seconds on the Decathlon – AG2R La Mondiale rider and now has only three minutes and 16 seconds to make up.
