Firefighters were called around 1:15 p.m. Bellême (Orne) this Monday, January 20, 2025, for an accident that occurred on Boulevard Bansart-des-Bois, in the city center.
A pedestrian was hit by a “horse van type” trailer, indicates the Orne Departmental Fire and Safety Service (Sdis).
According to our information, the tailgate of the van came loose and hit parked cars.
Hit in the legs
The victim, a woman, who was on the road, between two vehicles, was hit by the tailgate at leg level.
-She was taken care of by emergency services and airlifted in serious condition by a Dragon 50 helicoptertowards the Caen hospital center (Calvados), shortly after 4 p.m.
On site, seven firefighters were mobilized, from the Mauves-sur-Huisne and Bellême barracks, as well as a team from Smur and the gendarmerie.
