Indeed, during the Competition for the Best Galettes of Haute-Garonne, which was held this Thursday, January 2, the talent of the department's artisan bakers and pastry chefs was rewarded. And in the frangipane category, the winner comes from Plaisance-du-Touch.

The competition for the best pancakes in Haute-Garonne, which was held this Thursday, January 2, 2025, just before Epiphany, highlighted the talent of local artisan bakers and pastry chefs. This competition, which has become an unmissable event in the department, saw the participation of more than 25 candidates in four distinct categories: Couronne Brioche, Frangipane, Limoux and Apprentis. It is therefore in the frangipane category that the big winner emerged, with the victory of Clément Dejardin, pastry chef at the Aux Petits Bannetons bakery in Plaisance-du-Touch.

Indeed, in the frangipane category, it is Clement Dejardin from the Aux Petits Bannetons bakery in Plaisance-du-Touch which won first place. Its galette was particularly praised for its inverted puff pastry and subtle almond cream. Second place is then awarded to the Montberon Bakery of Jérémy Ferand, located in Montberon, while third place went to the Maison Blanchard by Jonathan Grodin in .

In the Brioche category, Dimitri Bordon from the D'Apprêt Nous bakery in Cugnaux takes the lead in the ranking. He is followed by Damien from La Petite Ma'dam to Pinsaguel, and Hugo Poite from the Credo bakery in .

Concerning the Limoux category, it is Sébastien Baye from Tabliers Toqués to Fonsorbes who took first place. Second place goes to Francis Pages from Au Bon Quignon to Toulouse, and Eric Thévenon from Maison Thévenon in moved to third position.

Finally, in the Apprentices category, Bilel Lajmi of SARL Fimouchkine in Toulouse wins the competition. He imposes himself in front Steffi Gaba-Dovi of SARL Feuillet in Bouloc, and Urbain Bedat Delampe from Fred L'Artisan Boulanger in Ramonville.
