The year 2025 will not be easy for Lennert Van Eetvelt. During the team presentation LottoFriday, in Tamise (Belgium), the calendar of the 23-year-old Belgian was revealed. The promising runner of Lotto will be aligned with two Grand Tours, the Tour de France et the return. But against all odds, Van Eetvelt will also be Flemish spring classics since it will be at the start of the Tour of Flanders and theOmloop Het Nieuwsblad. More accustomed to the Ardennes, Van Eetvelt discover the Ronde for the first time in his professional career. In 2019, he finished 16th among the Espoirs.

A busy schedule to confirm the year 2024
The Belgian was one of the revelations of the 2024 season thanks to his successes on theUAE Tour at the start of the season or on Tour de Guangxi before the end of the 2024 financial year. He also distinguished himself on the Classica San Sebastian by finishing 3rd or on the Tour of Lombardy (7th). “I've made great strides in recent years, but I don't know if I can make that much progress again. Maybe I don't need much to reach the level of the best. I surprised myself several times last year” explained the now leader of the Lotto after the departure of Maxim Van Gils pour Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe. Before tackling the Grand Tours or the Flandrian classics of spring, Van Eetvelt will be at the start of theUAE Tour with the ambition of retaining his title. “It won't be easy” he then admits that Tadej Pogacar will be present on UAE roads. “Maybe even impossible, but I still hope to be able to fight a good battle against him.“
