A few days after announcing the arrival of Samuele Zoccaratothe team Polti-Comet communicated a new recruit: Alessandro Tonelli. As Zoccarato, Tonelli is Italian and played within the training VF Group-Bardiani CSF-Faizanè. The 32-year-old runner, originally from Bornato (province of Brescia), took part in 5 Tour of Italy8 Milan-San Remo et 6 Tour of Lombardy during his career. He also has two stage victories: at the Cro Race in 2018 and Valencia Tower at the start of the year. The Italian team clarified that this was the last recruit since the squad is complete.

“First of all I would like to thank Polti Kometa for giving me the opportunity to continue racing. After a decade with the same team, starting my eleventh year in a new environment will almost feel like becoming a professional again. I intend to bring all my Cycling and personal experiencennel to this team, with the objective of improving further as I have always done”said the new recruit.
