Amateur cyclist Jack Burke broke the Strava KOM (King of the Mountain) record on the Mortirolo Pass segment (11.85 km at 10.8%), with a time of 43'45''. The previous record had stood since 2019, and was held by a certain Vincenzo Nibali, winner of the 2014 Tour de France, the 2013 and 2016 Giro, as well as the 2010 Vuelta. The Italian had clocked 44'52'' during of the 2019 Giro.
