Nairo Quintana has extended another year with the Movistar team, with whom he will play his tenth season.
Nairo Quintana will continue to wear the Movistar team jersey in 2025 with the aim of continuing to fight in every competition, bringing all his experience and gaining as many points as possible for the team. This season the native of Boyacá could not avoid several falls that affected his performances, but he managed to close the season with 69 days of competition. For 2025, the Colombian hopes to make a qualitative leap with more regularity.
Nairo Quintana:
“2024 was a good year. Personally, I had some setbacks throughout the season, starting with COVID, followed by a broken sternum, then a broken metacarpal in my right hand. These incidents, along with a few more falls, prevented me from being 100% in key moments, but we were able to get back up and do a quick rehab to help the team. The renewal for 2025 aims to achieve better continuity and support Enric as much as possible in the three-week races. »
