New in 2025, women’s teams can apply for ProTeam status, an antechamber of the WorldTour similar to how men operate. The UCI has revealed the candidate structures for this new status, but also for that of WorldTeam.
As for the WorldTeams, fourteen of the current fifteen have requested the label again. Only Ceratizit-WNT Pro Cycling is missing, before immediately reacting and informing that the team was working with the UCI to correct the necessary administrative formalities. As for the ProTeams, the UCI reports eight applications, but for the moment only six have finalized the necessary files, including three from France.
The labels will be officially awarded on December 10.
