“The ideal environment to get back to the top of the rankings”

Alexander Kamp :

Intermarché-Wanty has the reputation of being a very well-organized structure, driven by a team and family spirit, where young and old runners alike flourish. That’s what made me want to be part of it. I am convinced that this is the ideal environment to return to the top of the rankings. With my qualities as an explosive runner in puncher races, my goal is to fight for victory as regularly as possible. I like events like the Amstel or Liège-Bastogne-Liège. I am very motivated by the idea of participating in the extraordinary history of Intermarché-Wanty, and of making my contribution to the success in the coming seasons. I will bring my qualities as a cyclist but also my old-school personality, the classics are my preference in cycling as in culture, I love classical music and I am a fan of Marlon Brando, Paul Newman and Steve McQueen.”

Aike Visbeek (Performance Manager) :

Alexander Kamp adds his qualities as a puncher to our World Team, he has demonstrated that he can obtain results in numerous one-day races at the highest level. With his experience, he will be able to strengthen our classics core formed around Biniam Girmay. We are convinced that he has room for improvement and that he will be able to flourish in a World Tour program, with events like Amstel Gold Race, the Canadian classics or even Milan-San Remo. He represents added value to our workforce and we will be able to make good use of his qualities.”
