Eli Iserbyt did not show himself in his best light this Saturday at the Exact Cross in Beringen. During this first cyclocross of the season, the Belgian champion was disqualified for unsporting behavior.
Iserbyt lost his temper following a collision with the Dutchman Ryan Kamp which took both runners to the mat. The Belgian, before getting back on his bike, struck his competitor’s wheel with his heel in revenge, obviously with the aim of damaging it. The commissioners did not miss the incident and showed the culprit the exit a few minutes later.
