According to his desires, the fifty-year-old first headed towards the east of , then the Canal du Midi before taking the road to Compostela, in Spain, then branching off towards Portugal and returning via Andalusia. “It’s a little trick,” smiles Pierre Boussard.

Already another journey in sight

In eight years, the Quimperois has increased the number of bicycle trips and logged the kilometers. “I have almost 100,000 km on the clock. But there is nothing extraordinary. I do what I love. As I am recognized as disabled, following recurring back pain, I take the time to discover regions and countries instead of staying on my sofa,” confides the Quimperois, still delighted to return home before preparing his next trip, always by bike. This time his journey, planned over two years, should take him again to Spain and Portugal then to Italy, Greece, Croatia and Poland.
