It would have been necessary 1 hour 30 minutes of discussions sometimes a little lively so that the meeting, which was held Monday December 16, 2024, gave birth to a new office at the Football club of Andelys (Your).
The omnisport Club Sportif des Andelys (CSA) came in large numbers with Cyril Saintierthe president, Bruno Desprezthe vice-president, Jean-François Beurmsthe treasurer, for what constituted the last chance meeting.
It started at 7 p.m. instead of 6:30 p.m. mentioned on the summons.
29 voters
This explains why, while the future of the section was at stake, the members were even fewer in number than at the first extraordinary general meeting, three weeks earlier. Only 29 people could take part in the vote.
Once again, the quorum was not reached to the great dismay of Cédric Toutinthe city's sports director, and Rossano Lorenzinithe former president of the CSA, who took charge of operations.
“We are gathered to elect a new office. With the other members of the CSA omnisport office, we are going to deviate from the quorum rule because we must move forward. »
“I withdraw my candidacy”
He invited candidates wanting to be part of the new office to introduce themselves and share their motivations. Several people had come forward in the days preceding the meeting.
Yvan Chevallier, who was one of these candidates, was the first to take the plunge. The one who was president from 2020 to 2023 notably sent children to Nantes, one of his greatest prides. Now an assistant senior coach, Yvan has announced that he is running for the position of vice-president.
Obviously not everyone had received the invitation, Rossano Lorenzini then asked if there were other candidates in the room. Three women then came forward to help: Elisabeth Walbrecque, Stephanie Beaucle et Elodie Poirel.
Two former members of the office between 2020 and 2023 also expressed the wish to return to service: Laura Chevallier as treasurer and Nathalie Le Rouget as secretary.
Tipped to be president, Benjamin Bertrandwho evolves with the morning people, had already formed his team and the arrival of new people made him backpedal.
“I don't want to work with people I don't know, although I have nothing against you ladies. We saw what happened with Adama. This is not what I was sold, so under these conditions, I am withdrawing my application. »
“You don’t elect positions but members”
He then leaves the meeting. In a few seconds, everything collapses and back to square one. For Rossano, totally disappointed, this is inconceivable.
Faced with this turnaround, the president of the CSA Cyril Saintier coldly asserts:
“If there is no office this evening, tomorrow the CSA Football will cease operations. »
It was then that Cédric Toutin, the sports director, intervened, who recalled the rules for electing an office.
“You don’t elect positions, it’s only in football that we see that. You elect members of the office, who will then meet among themselves to distribute each person's functions. In my opinion, the more of you there are, the better it will be for you. As I already told you, it's heavy to run an association with 250 licensees, the pressure from parents who think their son is the future Mbappé. We are a small club so we have to come down to earth. »
A saving 10 minute break
After this speech, it was decided to take a ten-minute break with the seven candidates in order to clarify the rules of the game.
Everyone, even Benjamin Bertrand, who stuck to his guns, came to his senses.
Finally, the vote was able to take place and each of the candidates was elected with a large majority, between 26 and 28 votes out of the 29 voters.
Once elected by the assembly, the members of the office met in an adjoining room to distribute functions.
The office
– Benjamin Bertrand: president
– Yvan Chevallier, vice-president
– Laura Chevallier, treasurer
– Nathalie Le Rouget, assistant treasurer
– Élodie Poirel, secretary
– Élisabeth Walbrecque, assistant secretary
– Stéphanie Beauclé, events manager
CSA Football, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2020, will therefore continue to exist. And that’s the main thing.
