In 2023, the Jean-Claude Reynal Foundation, under the aegis of the Fondation de and with the collaboration of the ebabx École supérieure des Beaux-Arts de , launched a call for applications open internationally to all artists under 30 years old.

This system awards a grant of €10,000 to an artist working on paper.

In the mind of its initiator Jean-Claude Reynal, the scholarship could allow a trip abroad. The length of stay abroad can be a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 6 months. After a pre-selection, then a final selection of applications, at the start of 2024, Guilherme Ferreira de Oliveira, Brazilian artist, is declared the winner.

Guilherme Ferreira is a young Brazilian artist who comes from São Paulo. He attended the ebabx superior school of fine arts in Bordeaux in 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, where he had to reinvent his practice during confinement and began to develop a system combining drawing and installation (and writing).

This travel enthusiast naturally found his place in Bordeaux by obtaining this year the Jean-Claude Reynal Scholarship, under the aegis of the Fondation de France and supported by the ebabx, rewarding the work of a young artist under 30 years. Carte blanche for his first monographic exhibition in Bordeaux.

In Casca Grossa and Bochecha Inchada, his installation includes sketched architectures, a garden on the ground and trace objects suspended or deposited on the ground, all created ephemerally and in situ. Because everything is doomed to disappear, only the drawings of the small room and the writings remain. His traces in dark gray graphite pencil patiently cover entire reams of sheets
