The GOAT debate between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo is seemingly endless and Alan Shearer is also getting in on it by making his choice between the two.
Shearer, who is a Newcastle United legend, has revealed who the greatest footballer of all time was.
During his illustrious career, he scored a record 260 Premier League goals over 14 seasons with Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United.
His 112 goals in 138 appearances for Blackburn played a crucial role in the 1994–95 Premier League title, the only one of his career.
He then joined Newcastle in 1996, where he scored 148 goals in 303 games over 10 years. He is the only Premier League player to have scored over 100 goals for two different clubs.

Premier League all-time top scorer Shearer has named Lionel Messi as the greatest footballer of all time.
