who wins the audience war between Pierre Chabrier and Sylvain Levy?

Sylvain Levy’s YouTube channel is particularly popular, with more than 800,000 views on average under his publications. For its part, Pierre Chabrier’s profile, followed by half as many subscribers, is struggling to take off.

The Vilebrequin saga continues. After six months of waiting, videographer Sylvain Levy responded to the accusations of his ex-partner Pierre Chabrier who accused him of having “taken everything” from him last August.

In fact, the two partners behind the chain specializing in automobiles decided in December 2023 to put end of their career as youtubers. At the time, the separation was made without difficulty. It was finally in August 2024 that Pierre Chabrier decided to speak in a 40-minute video which discusses the reasons for their separation.

He then claims that Sylvain Levy would have monopolized the famous Multipla Crankshaftemblem of the chain. He also criticizes him for several behaviors considered unhealthy and disrespectful.

“Pierre no longer has quite the same impact”

Since then, Sylvain Levy has decided to break his silence by sharing this Thursday, January 9, a 55-minute video where he responds to the accusations of his former friend. He accuses him in particular of having stolen it and of having created “fake tears” to pity the public. A strategy which would also have allowed him to attract people to his new concept of garage bar called Racebox and get views.

“The number of views of Pierre on the networks, at the time and today, let’s say that it’s very loud,” says Sylvain Levy. “Pierre, especially since the time he whined, no longer has quite the same impact as when he was on Vilebrequin.”

Indeed, since the end of Vilebrequin, the two former partners have each launched their personal channel. The profile of Sylvain Levy, baptized Sylvain Lyve, is particularly followed. His YouTube channel has more than 1.01 million subscribers, almost double Pierre Chabrier’s account. In fact, the young man’s account is struggling to take off. He has 502,000 subscribers.

However, just after the publication of Pierre Chabrier’s video, it was Sylvain Levy who lost more than 80,000 subscribers on YouTube, causing him to fall below the symbolic mark of one million subscribers (920,000). Pierre Chabrier, for his part, had benefited from an outpouring of sympathy from Internet users. He had gained more than 150,000 subscribers on Youtubeaccording to the Social Blade website. The trend therefore seems to have been reversed.

On Instagram, the gap is closer. Sylvain Levy’s community exceeds 647,000 subscribers, while that of Pierre Chabrier hovers around 504,000 subscribers.

Sylvain Levy, more popular on Youtube

In terms of views, again, the numbers are on Sylvain Levy’s side. On average, the car enthusiast’s videos accumulate between 800,000 and 900,000 views. Some productions even exceed two million views. Figures much higher than those of Pierre Chabrier. On YouTube, with the exception of his video explaining the conflict, his publications obtain between 100 and 300,000 views. Some do not exceed 100,000 views.

Tech&Co has nevertheless noted a slight drop in audience since the publication of the video on the reasons for the separation of Vilebrequin. Before August 2024, Pierre Chabrier’s content more easily exceeded 500,000 views. Those of Sylvain Levy were around 1 to 2 million views.

Correct statistics for the two influencers, who remain well below the audience success of Vilebrequin, their former joint channel. Followed by 2.47 million subscribers, each of the duo’s videos exceeded one million views, or even 3.8 million views.
