As fans around the world continue to hope for a return of the series Desperate Housewives in any form whatsoever, Marcia Cross offered them a mini-revival which is already causing a lot of talk. And, for good reason, the actress has reprized her iconic role of Bree Van de Kamp in a teaser for the 2025 edition of the Séries Mania festivalwhich will take place from March 21 to 28 in Lille.
The series Desperate Housewives parodied by Séries Mania
As usual, Laurence Herszberggeneral director of the festival, and Frédéric Lavigneartistic director, parody a series in order to promote the next edition of Séries Mania. This year, they were inspired by the very cult Desperate Housewiveswhich celebrated its twentieth anniversary in October 2024, and then created… Desperate Lillewives.
We find Laurence Herszberg in the guise of Bree Van de Kamp, living in Wisteria Lille and completely addicted to TV series. Her husband Orson is played by Frédéric Lavigne. The actor Tomer Sisley appears as a guest in this video where he plays the new plumber neighbor, a direct nod to Mike Delfino (James Denton) in Desperate Housewivesand does not leave our Lille Bree indifferent – who suggests that she go see Susan.
Faced with this delicate situation, the Lille Bree telephoned the American Bree, and this is where Marcia Cross appears in the teaser. A glass of wine in hand, she tells him that “all means are good to achieve one’s ends”. Before adding: “And pretending you’re pregnant is never a good idea”. Here again, this is a reference to a plot of Desperate Housewives !
This is not the first time that the American actress has joined the Séries Mania festival since, in 2023, the star of Desperate Housewives et Melrose Place was present at the event and gave an exceptional Masterclass.
