The Princess of Wales was traveling to the Royal Marsden Hospital, where she was treated for cancer, for her first official visit of the year. She visited caregivers and patients, reports BFMTV.

Kate Middleton can finally resume her role within the royal family. After several months off work due to her cancer, the Princess of Wales chose a meaningful place for her first official visit of the year. She went to the Royal Marsden Hospital, which specializes in oncology, where she herself was treated for her cancer. After the end of her treatment in September 2024, she is now in remission. The Princess of Wales then visited the caregivers who helped her, as well as the patients who are going through the same ordeal as her, reports BFMTV.

In a statement published on social networks, the princess said “relieved to be in remission” ensuring to stay “focused on (her) recovery. As anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer knows, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. However, I am looking forward to the year ahead, which promises to be full of promises. There is a lot to look forward to. Thank you all for your continued support.added Kate Middleton.

A look back at his medical journey

The Princess of Wales also thanked “the Royal Marsden for looking after me so well over the past year” and addressed his “Most sincere thanks to all those who discreetly accompanied William and me throughout our journey.”

The princess’s cancer announcement was made in March 2024 through a video on social media. This disease was discovered during surgery last January. She was finally able to stop her treatment in September 2024. Since the announcement of this illness, the public has been made aware of cancer research and the sites of charitable organizations helping patients have even experienced a peak in traffic.

The Princess of Wales is not the only one affected by this disease. King Charles III himself is still being treated for his cancer. He still continues to hold his office, notably delivering the monarch’s traditional Christmas speech, delivered in a former hospital chapel.
