Julien Lieb, one of the finalists of the last edition of Star Academyrecently shared his feelings about Pierre Garnier, the winner of the show last year.
Although the two artists were in direct competition for the title, Julien chose to show great maturity by evoking Pierre with respect and kindness. A speech which contrasts with the tensions often present after such a competition, where rivalry is often exacerbated.

During the last season of “Star Academy”, the journey of Julien and Pierre in Star Academy has often been compared, particularly due to their distinct vocal styles and complementary personalities.
Julien, often described as the sensitive and authentic candidate, and Pierre, more charismatic and assertive, both knew how to conquer the juries and the public.
Since his victory, Pierre Garnier has had a string of successes with an album which was very well received in France and in Europe. Invited on the sets of all the shows and already rewarded with numerous awards, he also had the honor of signing a duet with M.Pokora, such is his success. For his part, Julien Lieb released three singles, also well received by the public.

But despite this fierce competition, Julien Lieb insists that, even though they were rivals, there was never any real animosity between them. A few hours ago, the former candidate was invited on the set of the Belgian channel Les News 24, in the program “Bonsoir, le prime”.
The opportunity for one of the journalists to ask him if he is not envious of Pierre’s trajectory. To which Julien Lieb responded: “Frankly no, I’m too happy for him. Envious? Of course I want to experience the same success, that’s true, but in truth, I have no regrets…”.
The young man then gave his opinion on the career of Héléna Bailly, a semi-finalist who also managed to bounce back well with a first album which is a hit. “I find her too strong in her artistic choices. She really manages to embody herself” declared Julien Lieb about his former comrade.
