Today at 08:00 – by Thomas Fourcroy
On Friday January 10 at 9:05 p.m., France 3 broadcasts a new issue of The secret box. A show in which we will meet a certain Thomas Dutronc, a distinguished musician who is as respected as he is discreet…
Son of Jacques Dutronc and Françoise Hardy, who died on June 11, 2024 after a long fight against illness, Thomas Dutronc chose to follow in the footsteps of his illustrious parents. Like them, it was in music that he found his voice, without forgetting to dabble in cinema. Drawing his inspiration from gypsy jazz, it is through a style all his own that he has made his way, sharing numerous albums. We think of Like a gypsy without a guitar (2007), Silence we turn, we go in circles (2011) or even Eternal until tomorrow (2015). Let us also note his latest opus, unveiled last year, It’s never too late. A record in which he assumes his romanticism… A question then arises, but who is the one who shares his life?
When Thomas Dutronc evokes a “breakup and reunion”
Interviewed by our colleagues from TV StarThomas Dutronc spoke frankly about his current partner. A woman to whom he dedicated numerous songs, but whom he never cited! Indeed, true to the saying “let’s live happily, live hidden”the musician declares that he does not want to be seen as a personality and does not wish to reveal the identity of his partner in the press: “I own my romantic songs. I wanted to be nice to her. The modern world is so hard, love is the only thing that matters. (…) I’ve been through things over the last ten quite strong years. I met someone. There was a breakup and a reunion. It was quite a story. I know I’m a bit of a ‘people’, but I always tried not to. ‘be.”
Thomas Dutronc: his little revelations about his partner
If he mentioned here a “rupture” momentary with the one who shares his life, Thomas Dutronc dropped some clues about his mysterious companion in the pages of Liberation. On a daily basis, he revealed that she lives in Paris and is a Capricorn. Small revelations, followed, again, by a declaration about his past and his new titles written under the sign of love: “When I was younger, I had some pretty strong romantic experiences, I sometimes lost my nerves. Let’s say that, like my mother, when I fell in love, I was convinced that it could only work. And when it broke down, I fell from a height. It’s so rare and precious to be in love… It made me feel good to write about all that.”
