One of the main actresses of Gossip Girl is soon in a new series. The best? The latter is reminiscent of The Bridgerton Chronicles.
Gossip Girl is THE series that made the biggest impact between 2007 and 2012. It kept us in suspense until the long-awaited end where we were finally able to find out who was hiding behind the famous messages signed “XOXO, Gossip Girl”. But, this is not the only reason for the success of this series. The world of this New York elite with its sumptuous galas and outfits that are more incredible than the others has made more than one teenage girl dream!
The best? The dramas in love, friendship and even family that never stop coming! And yes, everything is not easy for the golden youth of Manatthan… Finally, Gossip Girl would not have been such a success without the iconic duo: Blair Waldorf, played by Leigton Meester and Serena van der Woodsen played by Black Lively. If, since the end of the series, the latter has been talked about a lot like recently for the film Never AgainLeigton Meester is more discreet. However, we will soon be able to find her in a new series!

Leigton Meester, aka Blair in Gossip Girl soon in a new series
Since she was revealed in Gossip Girl, we have been able to find Leigton Meester in several productions such as the films Country Strong sorti in 2010, The Roommate, Welcome to Monte-Carlo et Love Next Doorall three released in 2011. She continued in cinema for a little while before taking a break from her career. It was in 2017 that she made her return to the screen in the sitcom Making History where she plays the main role.
A year later, we were able to find her in the series Single Parents broadcast between 2018 and 2020. Finally, in 2025, it is on display in season 2 of the series The Buccanners broadcast on Apple TV. Season 1, which recalled The Bridgerton Chronicles had made people talk about her. We don’t know what role the actress will play but we can assume that she will either become an ally for the heroines of the program or, on the contrary, a rival…

What is The Buccaneers, the series reminiscent of The Bridgerton Chronicles, about?
Season 1 of The Buccaneers was released on Apple TV in 2023. We are plunged into the 1870s where several young American women are sent to England in order to find a husband and therefore, a title. But these young women don’t want us to decide for them and they intend to do as they please! In the main roles we find Kristine Froseth, Alisha Boe, Josie Totah and Aubri Ibrag.
If season 2 has been announced, we do not have the exact date of its broadcast and we don’t know what the plot will be about. However, Kristine Frøseth and Alisha Boe told the media Premiere: “Lots of exciting things to explore after the Season 1 finale, like Nan and Theo’s wedding, Jinny’s baby, the consequences for the Seadowns, the fact that Conchita will forge her own path, without money, but with her husband and child… There are still a whole lot of things to discover in season 2!” All that remains is to wait for the announcement of Apple TV which should arrive within the year.
