“Now I’m here,” said Malorie Blanc after her first World Cup downhill on Saturday. With start number 46, the 21-year-old from Valais took second place and thus ensured a successful Swiss day. The established drivers around Lara Gut-Behrami (13th), Corinne Suter (15th) and Michelle Gisin (21st) were rather disappointing. With Janine Schmitt (19th), another young Swiss woman achieved a respectable success.
Now there is also a Super-G coming up in St. Anton. A chance for Blanc and 24-year-old Schmitt to confirm their good result and for Gut-Behrami and Co. to do better than in the downhill.
You can see whether this succeeds here from 11.15 a.m. in the live ticker and in the stream from SRF.

The Houston Texans and the Los Angeles Chargers open the NFL playoffs on Saturday evening (10:30 p.m.). Will the Kansas City Chiefs achieve their third Super Bowl victory in a row or will there be a new champion?
The NFL is divided into two conferences, in each of which seven teams have qualified for the playoffs. The best team in the conference qualifies directly for the second round. This year they are the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC and the Detroit Lions in the NFC. The remaining twelve teams play in the so-called Wild Card Round for a place in the next round.
