On January 26, the “Danse & Vous” association will welcome Christophe Licata, famous dancer and choreographer of the show Dancing with the Stars. This exceptional event will take place from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Rians village hall.

On the program, two distinct classes: salsa and samba, then contemporary rumba, an exclusivity reserved for Rians.

“This is the first time that Christophe has offered this course, and we are delighted to have obtained his participation”confides Aline Degorre, president of the association. Organizing this event required several months of preparation. “We started thinking about it last June. Our dance teacher has contacts, and one thing led to another, we were able to contact Christophe’s agent and everything came together naturally. He is very accessible and kind, which facilitated exchanges”she adds.

A solidarity project

Founded in June 2023 by Delphine Degorre, the association “Danse & Vous” is the result of a collective commitment to support a local dance teacher, Laurence Desmée.

“She was working in another Rians association, and they had terminated her contract. So we decided to create our own structure so that the courses could continue with herexplains Delphine. Everyone wanted to continue dancing with Laurence, so it seemed logical to us to do that.”.

Since then, “Danse & Vous” has offered classes for all ages, from 3 years old, but also classes for adults and online sessions. Building on this dynamic, the association regularly organizes events to bring together dance lovers from the village and beyond.

A course to bring together

With prices set at 40 euros for one course or 70 euros for two, the association hopes to attract a wide audience with this course. Each class is limited to 100 adult participants and 50 children. The team hopes to welcome at least 150 people. Participants will also be able to take advantage of breaks to take photos with Christophe Licata, a moment awaited by many fans.

For Delphine, this internship is the ideal opportunity to energize Rians and allow residents to discover disciplines that are sometimes inaccessible in small villages. “It’s looking good! Registrations are filling up. To participate, simply go through HelloAsso or contact us by email or telephone”.

The association hopes that this event will make an impact, give visibility to Rians, but above all, strengthen the bond between dance enthusiasts in the village.

Participate: go to HelloAsso or [email protected] or 06.43.56.61.04.
