Philippe Katerine spoke in Clique about a big health problem he had last year. And it could have cost the singer his life.

Philippe Katerine always seems in a nonchalant good mood. But you shouldn’t trust appearances. The singer from Louxor, j’adore experienced difficult times which made him “broke down”.
Guest of Mouloud Achour on the Canal + show Clique, the one we saw all blue and naked as Dionysus during the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris, was blue with fear this fall. The cause of his concern: an attack of renal colic which almost turned out very badly.
While he was in full concentration writing his album Zouzou, a “week after (the writing of the song Chez Philou), I was on the billiards table, because I had kidney stones,” says -he. However, this seemingly simple operation turned into a tragedy for Philippe Katerine.
-“In fact, my blood was completely infected, so I was going to move to the big white country, completely. I had emergency surgery, I was going to go through with it. You don’t have to hang around, because my blood is totally infected. Afterwards, they put a probe in to clean it all up,” he explained.
The operation ended well, but it reminded the singer of La Banane of bad childhood memories. He had “touched death” and had to have open heart surgery because of a hole the size of a five-franc coin, as they said at the time. “And they stuffed it with a pig’s skin,” he told La Tribune on Sunday in November. This shook him for a long time, until he discovered that art gave him the desire to live.
Today, there is less turmoil after the surgical procedure, but the bleak prospect of having to submit to the constraints of a drastic diet. “Less salt, less of everything,” he specifies, adding: “No cold meats, that’s it.” Cheese, for my Philippe? Finished!” Fortunately, there are still bananas…
