Lætitia Hallyday posted a long message on her Instagram account, this Thursday, January 9, 2025, in which she explains having lost her house in Pacific Palisades due to the fires underway since Tuesday in Los Angeles. They have already caused several deaths and much damage.
“We lost everything… There is nothing left,” she wrote, posting a video of the flames. “ I saw our house go to ashes, helpless in the face of the flames which took everything away. This video haunts my heart. »
“It was our refuge”
Johnny Hallyday’s widow also talks about the loss of her husband. She says she rebuilt herself in this house after the rocker’s death in 2017.
It wasn’t just a house… It was our refuge, our rebirth after the chaos of grief. It is between these walls that we healed our wounds, that we learned to live with absence, to rebuild days lit by love despite the shadow of loss.
“It sheltered our dreams, our secrets, our promises for tomorrow. But above all, she helped us to get back on our feet, to rebuild ourselves after the unimaginable absence of my husband,” she continues. “This house was our refuge in the chaos of grief, our anchor when everything seemed to be falling apart. Everything has disappeared… and with it, a part of my soul. The sorrow is endless. »
