“Part of my mourning of no longer playing in STAT is underway,” explains the interpreter of Delphine Martin who knew since the beginning of last November that her character was not going to make it.
His grief is that of “no longer being part of this project which is quite powerful in which I was proud to participate. Colleagues and the technical team too who become family. I respect the author and I find her good. I’m not bitter at all. The little sadness is more personal, but it’s part of the job. It’s heartbreaking, but hey, it’s OK,” she continues.

Heavy secret
Since November, Virginie Ranger-Beauregard has carried within her the heavy secret of the disappearance of Delphine, a character particularly loved by viewers for her gentleness and her great empathy.
“I was aware that he was a popular character. I told people very close to me, because I needed to talk about what I was going through. They were the ones who made me understand to what extent the public was going to screw up,” she explains.
The actress admits that she couldn’t wait for Monday’s episode to air, because all her holiday season, family gatherings and people she met on the street wanted to know if Delphine was going to survive.
“I watched the episode alone last night and I was very moved by the performance of my friends, the other actors. My eyes filled with water to see their emotion,” says the woman who shot the scenes where we see her dead in mid-November.
Of this gripping adventure that was that of STATVirginie Ranger-Beauregard remembers several things, including the happiness and dizziness of the “phenomenon” aspect of this show which is one of the most followed in Quebec.
“I have never had so much talk about a project or a character. That impressed me. On a personal level, I keep in touch and keep friends,” explains the actress who was also seen in the comedy series Between two sheets.

Inspiring Suzanne Clément
As for working with actress Suzanne Clément, she describes it as inspiring.
“She is a great actress who spreads her talent. Everyone is better around him, just around him. She never has a position of superiority. She is truly a unifier who has a lot of humility. She’s a great actress and a great lady,” she says.
Will she continue to follow STAT now that Delphine is no longer there?
“I think so. I think I’m going to have the curiosity to see where things are going and to look at my friends, to see where they’re going. Because all the characters have their way out, their little flaw which means that things can go the other way. Everything is possible in STAT. I will admire them from afar,” concludes the actress who will be found in an episode of the comedy Spoiled Rotten of her friends Anne-Élisabeth Bossé, Pascale Renaud-Hébert and Suzie Bouchard later in 2025.
