Discover the 50 favorite personalities of the French, according to the traditional IFOP and JDD survey. A ranking largely influenced by the last Olympic Games in Paris.
A survey conducted by the IFOP and the JDD revealed who were the 50 favorite public figures of the French in 2024. Jean-Jacques Goldman, Teddy Riner, Soprano and even Thomas Pesquet… The stars represent diverse backgrounds.
Jean-Jacques Goldman, again and again
Unbeatable, Jean-Jacques Goldman reigns in the hearts of the French for the fourteenth consecutive year. He who has not released an album for more than twenty years and who has not been seen on stage since 2004, can always count on the love of the French, whom he lulled with his compositions during the 1980s. and 1990.
In second place, we find the famous actor Omar Sy, who will appear in numerous projects in 2025. He is planned for “Story of a Marriage” (directed by Anne Le Ny), “Shadow Force” (Joe Carnahan) or again “French Lover” (Lisa-Nina Rives). Behind him is Teddy Riner, the most popular athlete in the country. With 273 victories for 12 defeats in his career (95.8% victories) and 5 Olympic gold medals, including 2 in Paris, the judoka from Pointe-à-Pitre is unanimous.
The rest of the ranking particularly celebrates French song and sport: we find Florent Pagny in fourth place but also the Marseille rapper Soprano (6th) and Francis Cabrel, in 9th position. Léon Marchand (5th), a real national darling since the last Games, and Antoine Dupont (8th), darling of French rubgy and also a gold medalist this summer, are in the top 10. French astronaut Thomas Pesquet is in 7th place .
The National Rally in the spotlight
The first politician in this ranking, Jordan Bardella shows all his popularity by reaching 10th place. He is closely followed by another major French political figure: Marine Le Pen (11th).
The rest of the top 20 honors four film stars in particular: Michel Sardou (12th), Jean Reno (13th), Sophie Marceau (14th), Karine Le Marchand (15th), Vianney (16th), Zinédine Zidane (17th), Jean Dujardin (18th), Dany Boon (19th) and Eddy Mitchell (20th).
In the rest of the ranking, we can note the presence of new names: Pierre Richard takes 26th place, the brothers Alexis and Félix Lebrun, table tennis geniuses, share 31st place while three other comedy stars French discover this top 50: Fabrice Luchini (39th), Gilles Lelouche (49th) and the young Adèle Exarchopoulos (50th).
