It is June 28, 2010 that, for the first time, “The 12 strokes of noon” rang out on TF1 with the bell ringer, Jean-Luc Reichmann. Since then, it’s been a hit! The show is followed by thousands of viewers Monday to Sunday. Many of them have fun trying to answer the questions in place of the candidates and trying, from their sofa, to discover who is hiding behind the mysterious stare. The program has existed for almost 15 years and, obviously, links were created between the candidates or rather between the Masters of Midi. In third place, we find Eric with 199 victories. Behind him there is Bruno with 252 participations et on the highest step of the podium…. Émilien!
Émilien who, more or less, became an employee of TF1 as he is omnipresent on the air. As we write these lines, the 22-year-old has participated in 466 shows. He discovered 16 stars ! He won 1 895 604 eurosnot to mention the multiple trips, the numerous cars, the TVs and other gifts…. His first show? It was September 25, 2023. Next March, he will have been participating in Jean-Luc Reichmann’s game for a year and a half.
This January 6, the Vendée student faced three new candidates. At the start of the year, he got a little scared. During the “Fatal Blow”, Émilien made three wrong answers and lost 26 seconds on his stopwatch. A great scare for anyone who intends to keep their place. Finally, the latter came to his senses and is now getting closer to its 17th star.
“Les 12 coups de midi”: why is Émilien banned from weekends with alumni?
What relationship between Émilien and the former Masters of the game? Is he appreciated or, on the contrary, does his status as Master of the Masters of Midi annoy? It turns out that every year, far from the TV sets, the former candidates meet up to spend some time together. This is the “great family of 12 shots” as some call it. A word that is not too much for Bruno because joining this club requires a lot: “it really is a very demanding adventure, whether physically or emotionally.“he declared to our colleagues at Leisure TV.
A family who, every year, changes location to spend quality time together. In 2024, everyone has gone to Normandy. “This is where we see that the casting of the show is still very well donebecauseoWe are all very different in human terms, but at the same time, we all adore each other.” Bruno added to our colleagues while Émilien was not there. But why then? In fact, that’s the rule! The current champion is not welcome. Maybe Vendée will take part next year? Unless…
