The Sunday Journal unveils its highly anticipated Top 50 favorite French personalities. Eight presenters and actors from the small screen appear there.
For 36 years, it has been one of the most anticipated surveys of the year: the Top 50 favorite personalities of French people in the Sunday Newspaper. Produced with the Ifop/Talan institute based on a representative sample of a thousand people at the end of December, the latest has just been published this Sunday, January 5. For the fourteenth time, Jean-Jacques Goldman is in the lead, followed by Omar Sy.
Athletes from the Paris Olympics are propelled into this ranking. Thus Léon Marchand, four-time Olympic swimming champion, made a sensational entrance, in fifth place. Just like the Lebrun brothers in 31st place. Teddy Riner, gained 14 places, and reached third position to relegate Florent Pagny to fourth. Antoine Dupont jumped 30 places to finish 8th.

Among the personalities cited, a host of people come from the small screen. Starting with Karine Le Marchand the host of “L’Amour est dans le pré” on M6. At 18th place, she is the first TV star to appear. In one year, the one who is very committed to the fate of farmers has gained 3 places. In 21st position, Jean-Luc Reichmann presenter of “12 coups de midi” on TF1, follows (+16 places) and Audrey Fleurot star the HPI on TF1, closes the podium, three places further (+11 places). Philippe Etchebest et Cyril Lignac the chefs of M6 are not to be outdone, respectively in 28th and 29th place in the general ranking, and in the Top 5 of the small screen section. Alain Chabat famous for its “Burger Quiz” on TMC, is 30th. France Télévisions is represented by Faustine Bollaert 38e (+ 11 places), et Stéphane Bern 48th. The latter is the only one to fall, by 20 places.

For comparison, in our survey TV Magazine of the French’s favorite presenters published at the end of December, Faustine Bollaert was crowned ahead of Nikos Aliagas and Karine Le Marchand. Jean-Luc Reichmann is fourth, Cyril Lignac and Philippe Etchebest in fifth and sixth positions.
