Each year, December 31 marks the end of a chapter and the beginning of a new one, but it is also, in Quebec, the opportunity to experience memorable television moments. This is particularly the case with Live from New Year’s Daya highly anticipated event brilliantly hosted by France Beaudoin.
This 90-minute special is pure joy, showcasing music and surprise “kidnapped” stars for an unforgettable evening.
This year, four stars were in the spotlight, with nice surprises reserved for them: Louis Morissette, Marthe Laverdière, Alex Aussant et Patricia Paquin.
An evening full of surprises, where, in addition to the artists’ families who came on stage to pay tribute to them, many personalities also appeared, such as Gildor Roy, Christine Morency, Jean-Philippe Wauthier, Children’s, France Castel, Eve-Marie Lortie, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif et Patrice Robitaille.
We were transported between dynamic and lively moments, but also very touching moments where emotion and tears were present.
Several segments moved some guests to tears, notably the number where children sang in honor of their actions to help, such as Louis with his Véro & Louis Foundation and Patricia with her restaurant Chez Cheval, which employs people struggling with a autism spectrum disorder, as well as Marthe with the La Maison de Jeanne foundation.
The issue even began with the theme of Forrest Gumpa film that made Patricia realize that her son shared similarities with the main character, obviously renamed Benjamin’s World for the occasion.
Little Jeanne, Marthe’s granddaughter suffering from Rett syndrome, was present alongside Benjamin, Patricia Paquin’s son.
Their presence did not fail to touch hearts and move people.
Continuing this segment, gigantic models of houses were presented, including a nod to the causes supported. Significant moment when DelphineLouis’ eldest daughter, took the stage alongsideAnnie Broccoli to perform the song I love you as big as the sky.
Visibly moved, the dad shed tears!
A perfect annual television event that made us dance, sing, cry and laugh!
And you, what did you think of this grandiose evening?
