At the end of 2023, Camille Santoro confirmed what many feared: she separated from her husband Nicolas after many years of living together and above all, the births of their six children: Alessio, Nino, Emie, Mattia, Maé and Alba. The two former stars of Large families, life in XXL never wanted to talk about the reasons which pushed them to separate but last September, the revelation of a tragedy led us to imagine that Camille and Nicolas had been greatly weakened by it.
In fact, the pretty blonde highlighted a sad birthday, that of Noa Santoro, their seventh child who apparently died at birth. “You never know the pain that lies behind an Instagram account, behind a person, behind a separation… Never forget, you never judge a book by its cover just as you don't judge a person because she shares 30 seconds of her life every day“, she wrote for this first birthday without her baby.
Camille Santoro owner of a 300m2 house
Since then, everyone has strived to move forward in their lives while sharing custody of their tribe. And Camille Santoro decided to breathe new life into hers by buying a new house. And not just any house since it is his childhood home, the one in which his father lived until his death. “This house and no other. Many of you have understood, I actually bought my dad's house. It wasn't easy, but I hope he's proud of me. I made him this promise before he left and I kept my word“, she announced on her social networks.
Camille Santoro then embarked on a titanic project. For good reason, the accommodation of approximately 300m2 on three floors which is located in Moselle must be completely retyped. And it's the mother herself who takes care of the work. Thus, for months, she has divided the course of her days between the creation of content, her children but above all the project she has undertaken. Camille Santoro even did everything to finish an entire floor of the house, just to celebrate the birthday of her son, Alessio (14 years old). Not a little proud, she shared images of the different rooms of her property, completely bare, with unpainted walls and the floor without tiles.
On her way, Camille Santoro still encountered several problems along the way. But she always put things into perspective because “the house remains very healthy“ and that if this generates “lots of stress and worries“, “it's just happiness” also. In particular thanks to everything she learns on a daily basis and to the people behind the scenes who accompany her on the site: “I am super grateful. We don't talk enough about the people who work in construction, however, they do incredible things with their hands and are really not easy. So, I wanted to leave here a little message of thanks to all the incredible people who came through my door. And especially my little project manager for his precious helpe.”
This page, I have to turn it
With this idea of turning the page on her life before, Camille Santoro also plans to take a step forward: that of changing her name on Instagram in order to no longer be associated with her ex-husband. “That’s because I’ve turned so many pages of my book over the last year. As I told you, I got rid of my entire wardrobe, I'm moving… I've made a lot of progress and I think that this page also needs to be turned so here it is just that“, she explained.
