Last December 20, Sunday told us that Michel Drucker had faced a “bad angina“. A setback before the end of year holidays which forced him to cancel several commitments at the last minute. It was a check-up. He is doing well today.

One thing is certain, Michel Drucker will be able to recharge his batteries far from the hustle and bustle of , in the South of France, more precisely in Eygalières, a small village in the Alpilles in Provence, where he settled. A choice which was not accidental since the father of the host, Abraham Drucker, had already been charmed by the region in the 1970s when he retired. Indeed, at the time, Abraham Drucker owned a house in Maussane-les-Alpilles, a town of 2000 inhabitants also close to Les Baux de Provence. It was then a sublime villa, modern and with swimming poolwhere his famous son spent many vacations. (See our slideshow).

Michel Drucker’s villa threatened with destruction

It was therefore quite natural that, years later, Michel Drucker had his own house built – 293m2 – in the region, just 24 minutes from his dad’s, with his wife Dany Saval. A great project which gave him a hard time given that a threat of destruction weighed on his shoulders for a time, the fault of the proximity to the Romanesque chapel of Sainte-Sixte in Eygalières. Fortunately, the presenter of Looking forward to Sunday ended up winning his case in court.

Pour -Morning in 2023, he opened the doors of his beautiful home, “with white stones“at the door”pale green“and surrounded by a”azure blue swimming pool“It was also revealed that Michel Drucker was the owner of a lavender field, that he grew rows of olive trees and took care of a beautiful plane tree.”under which two deckchairs are arranged“. In addition, he set up a small improvised animal shelter where “dogs, cats, a goat and several donkeys rescued after being mistreated” live there peacefully.

Note that in the Alpilles massif, Michel Drucker is not the only renowned personality. Other celebrities have been attracted to this quiet and discreet corner, including Alain Prost, Charlotte de Turckheim, Bruno Gaccio and Hugh Grant.
