Fans of bigdil only have a few days to wait. THE January 2, 2025the cult game, broadcast between 1998 and 2004 on TF1, will make its return sur RMC Story. For this comeback, Vincent Lagaf’ insisted that the filming conditions be exactly the same as at the time. “I never chased Le Bigdil. I was offered to do it again three times and I always refused. The first didn’t have the funds, the second just wanted to make a move, and the third was a myth. The fourth time, I accepted because I was given the means and the possibility to record it as I wanted“, he told us.
Guest of the show Legendbroadcast on Youtube, Vincent Lagaf’ spoke about the significant moments of his life. The host notably returned to the day he found his biological mother, who had abandoned him when he was only six months old.

While he was filming the film Le Baltringue, released in 2010, Vincent Lagaf’ decided at the age of 51 to take matters into his own hands. “It’s my biggest sorrow, my biggest cry“, he begins in the preamble. While the filming of the feature film takes place in the Rouen region, where the host was born in 1959. “I found his address. I said to Nathalie, my partner: ‘It’s time’. We put our two dogs in the car and went looking for my mother. I arrive in front of the gate, and there I gather my courage in both hands. I show up, and I come across a little gentleman with a beard collar. I tell him ‘I’m looking for Mrs. So-and-so’. He tells me it’s good here. At that moment I see her coming out of her house“, he says.
Vincent Lagaf’ then calls out to him, asking if it is possible to speak to him. The reaction will then not be as expected: “No, I’m asking you to leave my house.”she tells him. Vincent Lagaf’ subsequently gives the reasons for this refusal. “A year before, Pascal Bataille and Laurent Fontaine (Only the truth counts) had contacted her because she had abandoned other children in her life, who took steps with the show to find her. She goes to the set with her husband, with whom she already had other children. The father learns on the set that she had other children before, he gets cancer and dies“, he says.

The host then talks about his personal reaction, when he was deeply shocked because what had just happened. “Me when I arrive with my floured face and I ask her if she knows who I am… I don’t understand and I don’t know what happened. I got back in the car and there I cried… I didn’t know a man could cry like that. Nathalie asked me what happened, even the mutts looked at me sitting down. I said, ‘I got abandoned a second time, by the same person. So she didn’t like me. She never wanted me. I’m a street shit’“, he remembers with emotion.
While his companion tries to reassure him, in particular by evoking his love but also that of the public for the host, the latter makes a heartbreaking observation. “From the point of view of blood, I am nothing. Except for my son, I have nothing“, he confides.
Vincent Lagaf’ will then contact his biological mother by telephone, while he is in his car a few meters from her home. “I tell him: ‘Don’t hang up. I was born on October 30, 1959 and my name was Franck’. And then she goes, ‘Oh my God. I knew that one day I would see you again’. I tell myself that something is happening there. She tells me that the man I saw is not my father. We meet at a municipal swimming pool. We spent 6 hours talking to each other at the garden table. For 6 hours she stroked my hand. But this reunion was incredibly violent. I never saw her again after that. She asked me to never say who she was while she was alive, because she had other children who didn’t know who I was.“, he concluded, with tears in his eyes.
