OD Temptations au soleil marks the return of Maripier Morin to television animation.
It was Bell directly who contacted her to propose this project.
« Mélanie Bhérer [Directrice générale, Variété, style de vie, documentaire et numérique chez Bell Média] said to me half-heartedly: “I have a little affair, but I don’t know if it’s for you.” I said: “Well, you tell me, we’ll decide together, whether it’s for me or not.” She said: “Actually, it’s like a spin-off of OD, but right now it’s just a voiceover.” It was like just a voiceover commenting on what was going on there. Then I said: “Well, maybe it’s a good way to restart the relationship. A voiceover can still be done quite quickly, it’s not too demanding. »
She adds: “ Then, one thing led to another, they said: “If she wants, we would like to see her, then we would like her to be there, on site”. So, the mandate evolved a little over the course of the discussions, which meant that it became an activity in its own right. »
I was super happy with that, because I said to myself: as long as we come back to the Occupation Double banner, it’s fun to do it in a confident way, that it’s not just a little on the sly, in voiceover.
« Then for me, it comes full circle, 18 years later, to return to animation, to something still original, because yes, we know the OD banner, we know the OD candidates, but ultimately, It’s a show that’s completely different. “, she says.
Remember that Maripier Morin participated in the 3rd season ofOccupation Double, in 2006. « Me, my memory of OD, in my head, my adventure, it is intact. It was a joy from A to Z. I loved everything: living with the girls, I loved my trip, I loved the interactions with the guys, I loved the technical team. I loved everything. It was my exit that I found difficult, the return to reality. »
