He is one of the candidates of Best Pastry Chef 2024 (M6). Benjamin faces his competitors every week and is often very well placed in the rankings. However, he could have never appeared on screen as he revealed during an interview for TV Star (December 2 edition).
At 36 years old, Benjamin already has a busy professional career. As he confided to our colleagues, he has already been a fitter-fitter in aeronautics, in the military, worked in wind power, in ports and was a lifeguard. Currently, he works as a video editor and videographer. And, when he's not at work, you can find him at the gym. He is indeed a big fan of CrossFit.
But this cult of the body does not prevent him from being passionate about pastry. It was a video of Philippe Conticcini (making choux), watched around ten years ago, which made him want to get started. Seeing that the result was good, he wanted to continue his achievements. “Every birthday, I brought some back. But when I was cast, I read tons of books, I trained like never before“, confessed the charming candidate.

Although he did like a boss in the competition, the adventure was not so easy for Benjamin. As he confided during his portrait, he is a single father and has custody of his son Illario (9 years old). And the separation was difficult for him to live with, because rarely have father and son been away from each other for so long. “Before going to court to claim it [la garde, NDLR]I looked at the statistics and it's true that only 7% of fathers have it. Illario sees his mother every other weekend and during school holidays“, he clarified. Then, he admitted that after being selected to participate in the show (now presented by Laetitia Milot), he almost gave up everything: “After learning that I was selected, I actually wanted to quit. I thought it would be too complicated between Illario, work, sport and the time I spent practicing to The Best Pastry Chef.“
Fortunately, Benjamin did not give up on his dream of participating in the Channel 6 program. And he could well win even if, according to him, it is José who will win this season 13.
